Once the log reach the sawmill, they are recorded into a processing book. They are then processed through the main breakdown band saw and sawn to the correct dimensions using a band re-saw and a crosscut saw. The total production is handled by the sawmill.
The mill, depending on the need, operates on a 2-shift system and total input production of about 20 – 30 m3 of round logs/day with some 6-7 m3 of sawn board produced per day.
The wet sawn timber and sleepers are sorted into size classes and stacked onto bundles in the storage yard area.
Sawn boards are dried to 12 % MC in conventional medium temperature kilns. The final sizing of the dried sawn boards is done in a small dry mill.
