Levas Flor has a very comprehensive Chain of Custody procedure, which allows logs from the sawmill to be traced back to the exact location, and stump in the forest.
Firstly all trees to be harvested are marked with a unique number and GPS coordinates recorded.
When the tree is felled the stump is also marked with the same number. All numbers, species, dimensions, volume and coordinates are captured.
